At present, there are many varieties of decorative materials on the market, different grades, and the price is very different. If you don't have some knowledge of identification, you can't discern.
Plywood is made by three or more layers of one-millimeter-thick veneer or sheet glue and hot pressing. The common ones are three plywood, five plywood, nine splints and twelve splints (commonly known as plywood, five centiboard, nine cleatboard, and twelve-cleatboard in the market).
When choosing plywood, pay attention to the following points:
1. There is a difference between the front and back of the splint. When choosing, the plywood should have a clear wood grain, a smooth and smooth front, no roughness, and a smooth and non-sluggish feel.
2. The plywood should not have defects such as damage, bruises, hard injuries, scars, etc.
3. There is no degumming phenomenon of plywood.
4. Some plywood is made of two veneers with different textures pasted together, so it should be noted that the splint seam should be tight in the selection, and there is no unevenness.
5. When selecting splints, attention should be paid to selecting splints that do not fall apart. If the sound is brittle when the plywood is knocked by hand, it proves good quality, and if the sound is muffled, it means that the splint has fallen loose.
6. When choosing glued veneer, you should also pay attention to the uniform color, consistent texture, and the color of the wood and the color of the furniture paint.
